ENDURANCE IN TV EVERY WEEK

On the wings of the World Championship victory conquested by the Italian National Team in Dubai last January many ideas arose up between the lovers of endurance, like we are, with the main purpose of promote this sport every day more. In particular, thanks to the disponibility and the prompte collaboration of the World Champion Gianluca Laliscia, an half an hour new television weekly appointment is born in Italy, we think the first example of this kind in the world. We called it "VET GATE" and now (we are at this time at the 6th date of the serial) is broadcasted by 23 different stations covering all Italy. Vet Gate is a production of Umbria Endurance Equestrian Team and of Emirates International Endurance Racing that is to say the most important team of Italy and the most important team of the world in partnership one time more. The broadcast follows all the races in Italy and abroad where are engaged the riders of UEET and until now always the expeditions were very lucky in fact Umbria Endurance Equestrian Team won the Italian Championship and different races of Italian Cup. The realization is affidated for technical matter to the firm In Video Assisi of Domenico Vallorini and to myself, Corrado Attili, as journalist reponsable of the editing and the editorial coordination. Describing races, intervews to the champions, explainations of the cares and of the needs of the horses are the principal matters of our television message, to promote and improve always more the horse culture. The station interested in this innovative project, every Thursday evening are: SKY SAT 8 (decoder channel 859), Tef Channel (Umbria), Tele Vallo (Sicilia), Canale 46 (Sicilia), Antenna del Mediterraneo (Sicilia), Tele Sardegna (Sardegna), Rete 7 (Piemonte e Valle d’Aosta), Tele Clusone (Lombardia), +Valli Tv (Lombardia), Tele Turchino (Liguria), Tele Estense (Emilia Romagna), Sesta Rete (Toscana), Jolly Tv (Toscana), Telemaxlanciano (Abruzzo), Blustar (Tv Puglia), Telesud (Puglia), Napoli Tv (Campania), Lira Tv (Campania), CDS Tv (Campania). Tele Diamante (Calabria), Promovideo (Calabria). The experience will continue, in this first serial, until the race of July 16th when one time more many of the best riders of the world, and Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum on the head, come back to Trasimeno Lake for the Nakheel Green Heart Cup, an other unforgettable race.

Italian Endurance

The history of Italian Endurance it is not so long also if there are many important results in it. The first Italian Championship was held in 1985. The first important races are in the '90s when Fausto Fiorucci try to organize with success races in Gubbio and for this receive also prizes from FISE as the best organization in 1995 and 1996. In those years we meet riders like Antonio Rosi, Massimo Cutolo, Angela Origgi, Sergio Tommasi and Fiorucci of course. In 1997 Italy hosted the European Championship in Rome but the true beginning for the success of endurance in Italy is in 1998 when Fausto Fiorucci arrive second, silver medal, in the World Champonship in Dubai. Following this entusiasm Fiorucci and Gianluca Laliscia, youg rider and dinamic entrepreneur, decided to put together their two stables to create a strong team: Umbria Endurance Equestrian Team. They bild an organization with interests in wining races and in organizing races. Fiorucci obtains with his horse Faris Jabar, that became a true legend, many important results like the individual gold medal and the Team Gold Medal in the European in 2001, the Team Silver Medal in the World Championship in 2002 where Antonio Rosi is individual silver medallist. During this years other important riders are Chiara Rosi always present in the international races and a young group of riders that in 2003 become World Champion Young Riders. Between them there is Diana Origgi that confirm to be a very strong growing rider winning in La Baule, France, in 2004 the CEIO Competition held also in Newmarket and Gubbio . The last success is very very near. Italt become Team World Champion in Dubai in January 2005 with Diana and Angela Origgi, Gianluca Laliscia and Pietro Moneta. Finally the first gold in a Woirld Championship is arrived and now we can be considered a leader country too. But Italy is very proud for to be considered the best also a first choice also in organization specially Umbria with Trasimeno and Gubbio where also this year only in two mouths we will host two importat international races. We must thank you to United Arabs Emirates because we learnt very much from this beautiful country and we are very proud to be considered their friends and their partners in endurance competitions.
